Senior Designer

Between the Starbucks Stories & News team and Creative Studio, I led brand storytelling and communications design across digital and print platforms. Global audiences included customers, employees, stakeholders, and business partners. I developed large-scale campaigns, evolved components of the brand, and played a key role in communication strategy. I was successful at leading other designers and working with contractors and agencies, and I worked closely with senior and C-level leadership on various stages of creative work. Alongside creative producers, I defined creative and cross-functional processes, and developed tools and templates that allowed for intentional and consistent project management.

Situated in Public Affairs, I worked on brand campaigns and initiatives for internal and external communications platforms to build and promote the core values of the company. Focus areas included social impact, sustainability, community service, engagement, and corporate communication. I worked closely with the creative manager, designers, producers, writers, marketing teams, and stakeholders. My approach ensured deliverables like print collateral, digital and social media campaigns, and web landing pages exceeded their intended goals.

In this role, I worked on internal communications in Public Affairs to elevate the business focus on design, experience, and engagement for all North America stores and their methods of receiving operational communications. I was heavily involved in copywriting, planning, and execution to learn all aspects of the work and guide recommendations for new strategies.

Visual/UX Designer II

In my time on the Alexa Marketing team, I raised the bar of the visual language for engaging with existing and future customers throughout their interaction with the brand. I developed several high visibility, global marketing campaign experiences on the web, in advertising, and on Amazon devices. As I increased my UX design skillset, a core focus was to bring more efficiency to the team. I worked on a suite of systems and tools to bring design and copywriting teams closer together, creating better ways to collaborate and achieve results.

My time at Amazon came to a close due to company-wide layoffs that affected my organization.
